Dzisiaj Komisja Ligi zajmie się sprawą zatrudnienia Jose Mari Bakero w Lechu. Do tej pory, choć Hiszpan prowadził mistrza Polski w trzech ligowych meczach(Ruch, Polonia, Lechia) to nie mógł być wpisany w protokół meczowy, jako pierwszy trener tego zespołu. Od momentu zatrudnienia Bakero był nim Ryszard Kuźma – asystent trenera.
Chodzi o przepis, który uniemożliwia szkoleniowcowi prowadzenie dwóch zespołów z tego samego poziomu rozgrywek na przestrzeni jednej rundy.
Wcześniej podobną sprawą Komisja Ligi zajmowała się w przypadku zatrudnionego w Cracovii, a wcześniej Polonii Bytom, Jurijego Szatałowa. Prośbę Cracovii rozpatrzyła ona pozytywnie i mógł on prowadzić ostatni zespół polskiej Ekstraklasy. Jeżeli Bakero otrzyma zgodę na prowadzenie Lecha, będzie mógł pojawiać się na konferencjach prasowych po meczach oraz znajdzie się oficjalnie w protokole meczowym.
Gra toczy się o dwa spotkania, jakie pozostały do zakończenia rundy jesiennej, a więc mecze z Polonią Bytom i Koroną Kielce. Ostatnie w tym roku ligowe spotkanie Lecha – z Widzewem Łódź – rozegrane zostanie awansem z rundy wiosennej.
